Summer Links--Week Three!!

It has been so much fun looking through the various "Summer Links" submitted to the All Year Round Blog Carnival: Summer.  I thought it would be fun to pick a few of my favorite links from the previous week and highlight them each Sunday (I normally don't blog on Sundays, so this would be short and sweet!)

We LOVE watermelon!  It has been the only "Send The Hubs to the store NOW" craving I have had!  Sooo when I saw this recipe for Watermelon Slushie, I knew it was a keeper!

Reading is one of our very favorite things to do!

Here are two great lists, which include many books we have enjoyed and some new ones, as well!

For the younger crowd: 16 Delightful Summertime Books

And for the slightly older child or as read alouds to younger: Summer Reading List ..which just happens to include The Chronicles of Narnia... my all time favorite books.  I was four years old, the 1st time my mama read these books to us!  Loved them then and love them now!

Each week, we seem to find little critters that the children think they must hold.. salamanders, slugs, centipedes...

So it seemed very familiar when Rainy Day Mum had some fun with snails!

We (myself and all the co-hosts) would love if you'd join us in this fun sharing of summer ideas!  Be sure to visit my All Year Round Blog Carnival: Summer Page (at the top of my my blog) and link up all your fun summer posts!!

    1. We just had them for snack! They really are as good as they look. When I was making them, one of the daycare boys ask if we were going to put sugar in them. I told him that they are sweet on their own. He tasted it and agreed. :)

  3. Oh, I love the booklists! I'm going to start with the 16, then move into the Summer Reading List (although for us, it will probably end up being the Fall/Winter Reading List!) Thank you!
