An Enchanted Childhood Playschool ~ Summer Camp ~ The Night Sky

Whew!  The weeks are just flying past us. It's not so much that we are too busy (though Monday-Thursday are pretty busy with our playschool) as it is we are busy outside.  We aren't able to blog as much as we would like.  But maybe that is the nature of summer... along with laptops that won't let us write on blogger, lost cameras, new pets, growing children, day trips to Ikea, crazy weather...  (all this to say.. we are TWO days late in putting out the weekly Playschool Update!)

Last week we studied the Night Sky!  Lots of fun and learning!

We read Halley Came to Jackson and made cute comets using a star sponge and glitter paint for the tail!

We also read Goodnight Moon (who can do a moon study without revisiting that favorite book?!)
The children learned the four main moon phases and then made a little book!

One rainy day all the boys (have I mentioned that somehow we have almost all boys for our playschool?) gathered under the table... all kinds of fun play was going on under there!

And of course we had lots of outside play in between and around all the rain we have had this summer.

And the highlight of every week is a visit to The Garden!

Goodness, there is a lot of goodness in every week.
And we are grateful!

  2. Your garden looks great! We have had too much rain and now too much sun, so my tomatoes have been all over the place :) I love the moon phase project, my oldest is obsessed with anything to do with the planets, moons etc right now!
