Crafting Along with needle and thREAD

This past week, I made another pair of upcycled/repurposed wool longies!  Using the sleeves of a thrifted 100% wool sweater, like always. I really like the bulky texture! Cuffed for lots of growing room!

I am so IN LOVE with this little nine week old girl!

Really! I mean it this time! I will start reading again. I just got a new reference type book and will show it off next week.  Daily I read many, many books to Bunny! Between new baby, active two-year-old, The Hubs working lots of over time, me back to the playschool 40 hours a week, all that goes with all of that, AND the neeeed to be creative (I made a ring this week too and put snaps on bibs for the playschool and.... ) reading just hasn't been a priority... unless you count the numerous blogs on birthing, natural parenting, creating....  Next week!

  1. Those longies are so precious....or is it the cute little babe wearing them....must be the babe :)Don't wear yourself out! You are still a sort of new mama, so get plenty of rest!

  3. Yeah! Love the wool. I love the process involved in using longies (and shorties). There's something that feels good to me every time I wash and lanolize them in a pot in the kitchen!

And when you think about it, it's wild how much we love someone so new--your 9-week old, my 6-week old...a person who's been on earth such a tiny pinch of time. Then again, we kind of did get to know them in the belly, didn't we? :)

  6. So freaking cute (the baby and the longies!) I've been pinning sweaters turned diaper covers like a mad woman lately (Though I have yet to make one) and now you've got me hankering for a cable knit one. Good thing a trip to the thrift store for wool sweaters is already on the agenda for the weekend. Did you felt the sweater first?
