{this moment} - A Friday ritual, inspired by SouleMama, capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see.

Kids in the Garden
At least once a week, we make the trek across the fields to Poppaw John's Garden!
A lot of the garden has been harvested, but there are still plenty of goodies for us!
The multi-colored organic carrots were a HUGE hit!
LittleSister is happy to just sit and chomp whatever treats the children give her!
Squash, sunflowers, garlic, onions, and Indian corn are drying in the shed.
Teaching the kids to shuck corn!
These sweet potato flowers are beautiful!
Apple picking!
Chanting "teamwork" as the volunteer (proudly) to carry the apples home!

Gone Hikin'
We are not MIA, I promise... more like just IA (In Action)
Blogging has taken a backseat to being outside, mothering, intense decluttering, and reading some pretty deep books. We are also having a few technical difficulties... not sure if it us or blogger or some of both. But wanted to pop in to say we are good, just busy with life!
If you need us, this is where you will find us!

An Enchanted Childhood Playschool ~ Summer Camp ~ More Plant Fun!
This week we read Eric Carle's The Tiny Seed.
We did two fun plant projects to go along with our plant study.
First we did a simple plant rubbing.
We also did a Pinterest-inspired plant project.
There is nothing better than having hours and hours of freedom to explore, learn, run, play...
What's that behind the tree?

Oh I seeee you!
Hurrying off to the garden!
A yummy addition to our lunch!
Big Creek Fun!
Visiting the chickens is always a treat!
Every afternoon, we gather in the front yard to play and wait for parents!
And sometimes, the children slow down enough to sit and have a little chat!
Can't wait to share what we have planned for fall!
Each week I join several linky parties! What a fun way to share and learn!
