After reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, we made "torn paper" collages. The "big kids" were allowed to use their very own glue stick!
Another day, the children used Q Tips to paint bear cut-outs, which we turned into puppets!
In addition, we read this gorgeous book: Goldilocks and the Three Bears !!
Nothing beats a sunny fall day for making discoveries...
a bird nest.
Any fairies at home?
A walk down the road!
And around to Poppaw John's garden...
...where he showed the children a gift he has growing for them.... more kale and more carrots. How exciting that just when everything else in the garden has been harvested and the leftover plants recently wilted by Jack Frost, we have new plants growing under the homemade hoop house!
We will have fresh veggies in November... how blessed are we!!!
