One nature walk + One curious child = A whole lot of learning going on!
Checking out the various animal prints in the mud.
Deer and raccoon!
Examining the dew drops still on the plants in the shade!
Every few feet, we have to stop and inspect something: various leaves, moss, ferns, nuts...
A big pile of dirt where "something" dug is always worthy of a closer look and lots of discussion.
How awesome that God gave us the natural world to learn about. And Nature to teach us.
“Let Nature be your teacher.” ~ William Wordsworth

What a wonderful walk! It's so refreshing to take a few minutes and let your child be your guide!

Lovely post. Nature really is the best teacher!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to enjoy the day. Hope all is well!!
ReplyDeleteI totally think that kids can entertain themselves for hours in the great outdoors. All they really need is some dirt, sticks, rocks, and bugs to look at. My kids and I did our own nature walk several weeks ago and it was a huge hit with both of them. (I posted about it on my blog.) We definitely need to do it more often!
ReplyDeleteI agree, nature walks are one of the most precious ways to explore and learn. :)
ReplyDeleteNature is great when we slow down and let our kids explore.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more - nature is the best teacher - and a great way for us adults to remember to slow down too!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of fun learning. I agree nature is a great teacher. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how nature speaks to our hearts.
