We have much to do today.
The house needs cleaned.
A pile of lumber waits for us to complete a project.
But today Bunny and I left Papa and Squirrely sleeping.
We snuggled and nursed on the couch.
We ate dessert for breakfast.
We fed the ducks, and Bunny watered them.
We rolled snakes out of clay.
We talked and chatted about life.
And I asked how old she is today.
"2!" she replied with enthusiasm.
Then I asked her how old she will be tomorrow.
"FREE!" She exclaimed.
Three is such a magical age. I am so excited for it.
But a piece of me longs to keep her as little as I can for as long as I can.
The others are awake now. Business has begun.
But for a few moments time stood still.
This was the last morning I will ever have with her as a two year old.
This is the last day. I am off to enjoy every second.
