Count Down To Vacation

Beach vacation is a big deal in our house. We have been blessed enough this year and last, to get to go twice each year. Once, for a few days, in May and once, for a week, in August. May vacation is right around the corner and now that we have locked in Papa's days off, Bunny and I have started a countdown. I actually stole this idea from an advent calendar I saw on Pinterest. I thought it would work great for beach countdown as well.

We took envelopes (you could also use paper bags or something similar), numbered them, decorated them, and filled them with little things that are beach related.

Sunglasses

A seashell necklace making kit

A manicure in the making and lip balm

And a shovel to paint with glitter

We hung them on a string with clothespins.
Each day, after morning chores, Bunny takes down an envelope, and we talk about the number on it and how many more days are left. Then she gets to open it up and enjoy what is inside.

It is so fun and a great way to count down to vacation.
