Crafting Along -- To Do Lists

I recently found myself struggling to keep up with the house.
Between Papa working a TON of hours, me doing daycare, taking care of the girls, and so on and so forth, I was swamped.

But even more than being swamped, I just really didn't even know where to start.

So Bunny and I set out to make a chore list.
While Baby Sister was napping,
I typed up a list (ok I really just googled chores lists and picked and chose what I wanted), while Bunny painted a picture from for us to put it in.

We made thee sections for daily, weekly, and monthly chores.

We hung it on the wall by our fridge, and can check it off with a dry erase marker.
Whenever the day, or week, or month is over and all the chores are done, I just wipe it off and start over.

  2. What a great idea and such a detailed list! I'm getting behind on my housework with all of this nice weather. Can I just start in Autumn? ha ha!

  3. I did something like this at the beginning of the year, and it has been SUCH a huge help! Daily and weekly chores really keep the "swamp" at bay!

  4. I'm with Joey - can I start in autumn? I wish! Our house is on the market so we are constantly with hours to spare and a messy house. But they do say that cleaning the house with a toddler is like raking leaves in a tornado and it IS summer so I guess a little last minute cleaning isn't so terrible

  6. Oooh, I love this simple idea! I have also been struggling with feeling overwhelmed with housework...I like the dry erase marker idea - I just love making lists because I get so much satisfaction out of checking it all off at the end! I also like that your daughter helped by painting the frame. So cute!
