Late July in the Garden

"In every gardener there is a child who believes in The Seed Fairy"
~Robert Brault

The children look forward to the weekly Garden Visits!
The run off to wait by the tree line for us to catch up.

Each week there are new things to see and taste.

onions drying

tomatoes of all sizes

 and several varieties of squash

"I tied these together to make a hammock for the fairies"

the eggplant has yet to bloom...

beans in various stages

and peanuts (we hope!)

today the children ate carrots, cucumbers, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, rhubarb,
and raw corn on the cob!

"Why try to explain miracles to your kids when you can just have them plant a garden."
