Lately, my big girl has discovered a passion for painting.
We would start an art project at playschool and she would not want to stop.
She would say in distress, "I not done yet!"
Poor little Picasso was constantly being ripped away from her masterpiece before it was completed.
So one afternoon, armed with a wooden pyramid from Nana's block basket and a new paint set,
we set down to paint. I was determined to allow her to paint for as long as she wanted.
30 minutes later, she was still at it. So I decided to take a few pics.
As you can see, she gets really into her artwork.
She used up all of the pink as well as a few other colors.
Finally, 45 minutes into the paint session, she smiled up at me and said with great relief,
"I done now."
Even at her young age, I want to find ways to encourage her "passions".
I want to yes every time I can and allow her all the time she needs.
Who knows, maybe painting will be a life long passion.
We made quick clean up of the contained chaos, and proudly returned the pyramid to Nana.
Now decorated beautifully.
Little sister, now 2 months old, is doing quite well.
Always growing and controlling more and more of her body.
But napping on mama is still her favorite thing to do.
