So, give me the rundown on how this is working for you. Kind of interested in trying it. Of course we've had 70 degree weather this week (WHAT?!?!) Have you had crazy warm weather there?
ReplyDeleteThis is my Poppaw's set up, so I can only give you the basics. He already had the garden boxes, the he took some 1/2 inch PVC pipe and screwed it to the insides of the boxes in arches. He secured them from tilting side to side with some wire wrapped around the arches and around more screws in the boxes. The he took thick clear plastic and covered it. He opens it up when it is warm, and makes sure to keep it watered. Of course this only works with cooler weather crops. It was 60 this week and that is the warmest it has been in a while.
DeleteI love Kale in the Winter garden. :)
ReplyDeleteA great looking haul from your winter garden, I wish we had planted something, our green house seems a little forgotten at the moment! Do please join me on Country Kids too
